RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACTS FOR ACQUISITION OF SELECTED IBM
EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, an additional direct access storage device and
additional color display units are required to primarily support
the Police Department ; and
WHEREAS, a grant was obtained to partially offset costs ; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised for bids for acquisition of
required equipment ; and
WHEREAS, the Roselius Computer Corporation and the
International Business Machine (IBM) Corporation bids are most
advantageous to the stated requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to :
A) Award a procurement contract to Roselius Computer
Corporation for one ( 1) IBM 3375-B1 direct access storage device
for the amount of $19, 995.00.
B) Award a procurement contract to International
Business Machine Corporation for two (2) IBM 3179 color video
display stations for the amount of $2, 983.50.
C) Allocate the sum of $1,394.00 for transportation,
installation and maintenance of said equipment for the remainder of
FY 84/85.
