RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT APPORTIONING
EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION BETWEEN WICHITA
FALLS AND PLEASANT VALLEY, AND REPEALING
RESOLUTION NO. 19-85 .
WHEREAS , on February 5, 1985 , the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 19-85 , which approved an agreement with Pleasant
Valley apportioning the overlapping extraterritorial jurisdiction
of the two cities; and,
WHEREAS, the two cities subsequently agreed upon a different
apportionment, and the City Council desires to repeal Resolution
No. 19-85 and to approve the new agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , THAT :
SECTION ONE. That certain agreement, a copy of which is
attached hereto , between the City of Wichita Falls and Pleasant
Valley, apportioning the overlapping extraterritorial jurisdiction
of the two, is hereby approved , and the City Manager is authorized
to execute the same for the City of Wichita Falls .
SECTION TWO. Resolution No. 19-85 is hereby repealed.

AGREEMENT APPORTIONING EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION BETWEEN WICHITA FALLS AND PLEASANT VALLEY
This agreement made and entered into this the 2nd day of
April 1985 , by and between the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, hereinafter called "Wichita Falls" , and the town of
Pleasant Valley, Texas, hereinafter called "Pleasant Valley" ,
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Wichita Falls
completely overlaps the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Pleasant
Valley, and the two desire to apportion such overlapped area by
mutual agreement of the governing bodies, in accordance with Section
3-B of Article 970a, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas .
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual covenants
herein contained , Wichita Falls and Pleasant Valley, acting by and
through the undersigned officers, duly authorized by their governing
bodies, do hereby agree as follows :
All of the following described property shall constitute the
exclusive extraterritorial jurisdiction of Pleasant Valley, to-wit:
First Tract:
BEGINNING at a point in the southeast corner of
Block 9, also being the northeast corner of
Block 8 , Wichita Valley Farms as recorded in
Volume 3 , Page 149 of Wichita County Plat Records,
said point also being on the city limits line of
Pleasant Valley;
THENCE westerly on the common line between said
Block 9 and Block 8 , passing the southwest corner
of Block 9 to a point being the northwest corner
of said Block 8;
THENCE southerly along the west line of Block 8
to a point in the southwest corner of Block 8 ,
said point also being on the north right-of-way
line of FM 367 ;
THENCE easterly along said right-of-way line
4 ,568 feet, more or less, to a point of inter-
section of the north line of 367 and the city
limits line of Pleasant Valley;
THENCE continuing along the city limits line of
Pleasant Valley as follows :
THENCE N 00° 22 ' W 1868. 1 feet to a point;
THENCE N 89° 42 ' E 1626 . 0 feet to a point;
THENCE N 00° 10 ' E 688 feet to a point;
THENCE W 1619 . 5 feet to a point;
THENCE N 00° 22 ' W 2345 feet to a point;
THENCE N 89° 57 ' W 2533 . 0 feet to a point;
THENCE S .00° 11 ' E 2961.5 feet to a point;
THENCE S 949 feet to a point, said point also
being the point of beginning.
Second Tract :
BEGINNING at a point being the intersection of
the north line of a 136 ac. tract conveyed to
L. F . Miller in Volume 384 , Page 489 , Wichita
County Deed Records, and the west right-of-way
line of FM 369 , said point also being on the
city limits line of Pleasant Valley;
THENCE southerly with said city limits line
and the west right-of-way line of FM 369,
3180 feet, more or less, to a point;
THENCE southeasterly with said city limits line
to a point in the east right-of-way line of
FM 369 ;
THENCE northerly with said city limits line and
the east right-of-way line of FM 369 , 1125 feet
to a point, said point also being the intersection
of the south line of N. Dembriski Survey A-66
and the east right-of-way line of FM 369;
THENCE easterly with said city limits line and
the south line of said survey, 950 feet to a
point;
THENCE northerly 950 feet from and parallel to
the east right-of-way line of FM 369 to a point
in the south line of a tract conveyed to Ray
N. Lunn in Volume 1200, Page 508 , Wichita County
Deed Records;
THENCE westerly along said south line of the
Ray N. Lunn tract, 950 feet to a point in the east
right-of-way line of FM 369 ;
THENCE southerly along the east right-of-way line of
FM 369 to a point being the intersection of said
right-of-way line and the north line of the L. F.
Miller tract extended;
THENCE westerly along said north line extended
to the west right-of-way line of FM 369 and the
point of beginning .

All of the balance of the overlapped extraterritorial juris-
diction shall be exclusively within the extraterritorial jurisdic-
tion of Wichita Falls.
Plats showing the tracts apportioned to Pleasant Valley are
attached hereto for illustrative purposes .
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
agreement to be executed as of the day and year first set out
above.
