RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SESQUICEN-
TENNIAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE AND ADOPTING A
MASTER PLAN FOR CELEBRATION OF THE 1986 TEXAS
SESQUICENTENNIAL IN WICHITA FALLS
WHEREAS, 1986 is the sesquicentennial anniversary of Texas Independence from
Mexico; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to join other cities, communities
and counties throughout the State in completing projects and holding celebrations
to commemorate the Sesquicentennial celebration, and
WHEREAS, a Master Plan for projects and celebrations envisioned for 1986 has
been submitted, and
WHEREAS, a committee of 16 persons has been presented for appointment to co-
ordinate these events and celebrations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The appointment of Dale Terry, Joe Stearns, Norma Crane, Al Flack, Chuck
Howard, Ruth Ann Huffines, Donna Adams, Pete Martinez, Jane McKee, Dorothy Roberts,
Bob Schleider, Harold "Hal" Sundberg, Dee Tate, Bill Warren, Tommy Thompson and
Joe Tom White are hereby appointed to the Sesquicentennial Coordinating Committee
and the Master Plan for Sesquicentennial events is hereby approved.
