RESOLUTION FOR AWARD OF BID FOR PAINTING OF THE
PUCKETT STREET WATER TOWER.
WHEREAS , the City of Wichita Falls desires to paint the
Puckett Street Water Tower and to make some limited repairs; and,
WHEREAS, the City has advertised for bids for this work;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the bids received in
response to the advertisement; and,
WHEREAS, the Council is satisfied that there are insufficient
resident workers available to meet the requirements of this
contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The lowest responsible bid for the repair and painting of the
Puckett Street Water Tower is O.L.D. Company, Inc . , of Mineral
Wells , Texas, in the amount of $67 ,800 .00 . The City Manager is
authorized to execute a contract whith O.L.D . Company, Inc . , for
the necessary work, and a waiver of the 70% local workers require-
ment is hereby approved, pursuant to Ordinance No . 112-83 .
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 19th day of February, 1985 .
