ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPHS (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), AND
(6) OF SUBSECTION (b) OF SECTION 2-98, ESTABLISHING BUS
FARES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraphs (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), and (6) of Subsection (b) of
Section 2-98 of the Code of Ordinances are hereby amended to read as follows:
"(1) Adult fares shall be seventy-five cents ($0.75).
(2) Children's fares (for children ages five through eleven years) shall be
thrity-five cents ($0.35).
(3) Student fares, when purchased in single lots which are good for twenty
rides, shall be thirty-five cents ($0.35) per ride. Such fares are limited to students
attending school through high school level only.
(4) The fares charged elderly and handicapped persons shall be thirty-five
cents ($0.35). 'Elderly persons' shall mean all persons over sixty-five years of age.
'Handicapped persons' shall mean all persons with a physical or mental disorder
who have been certified by a. medical doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist as handi-
capped.
(5) There shall be charge of twenty-five cents ($0.25) each for all transfers.
(6) Sheppard express fares shall be one dollar ($1.00)."
