ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 4-15 AND 4-24 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE SALE OF BEER AT
THE ELEVENTH ANNUAL PIONEER BOWL CHILI COOKER'S
POW-WOW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Board of Commerce and Industry
is sponsoring the Eleventh Annual Pioneer Bowl Chili Cooker ' s Pow-Wow
on Friday, December 17 , 1982 at the 4-H Barn at 1626 Midwestern
Parkway, which event is a part of Pioneer Bowl Week leading up to
the Division I-AA National Championship Football game on Saturday,
December 18 , 1982 ; and,
WHEREAS, the sponsors of this event have requested permission
for beer to be sold at such event, and the success of this chili
cook-off will he enhanced if the sale of beer is allowed, and the
Board of Aldermen find that the circumstances involved in this
situation are exceptional , and that the waiver should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT:
The requirements of Sections 4-15 and 4-24 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the sale of beer, for consumption
on the premises, at such event at the 4-H Barn at 1626 Midwestern
Parkway on Friday, December 17 , 1982.
