AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING A TWELVE (12) FOOT
WIDE "L" SHAPED ALLEY IN BLOCK 5, SIBLEY TAYLOR ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND RETAINING A UTILITY EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has
recommended closing the twelve (12) foot wide "L" shaped alley in Block 5, Sibley
Taylor Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the alley
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The twelve (12) foot wide "L" shaped alley in Block 5, Sibley
Taylor Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, being more specifically described
as:
BEGINNING at the north right-of-way line of Galveston Street, said
point also being the southeast corner of Lot 5, Block 5, Sibley
Taylor Addition;
THENCE north 112' more or less to a point for an "L" corner, said point
also being the southwest corner of Lot 3, Block 5, Sibley Taylor Addition;
THENCE east 152' more or less, to a point on the west right-of-way of
Yale Street, said point also being the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 5,
Sibley Taylor Addition;
THENCE south 12' more or less, along the west right-of-way of Yale St.
to a point, said point also being the northeast corner of Lot 31, Block
5, Sibley Taylor Addition;
THENCE west 140' more or less, to a point for an "L" corner, said point
also being the northwest corner. of Lot 31, Block 5, Sibley Taylor Addition;
THENCE south 96.8' along the west property line of Lot 31 and a por-
tion of Lot 30, Block 5, Sibley Taylor Addition to a point, said point
being on the north right-of-way line of Galveston Street;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction along the curve of the north right-
of-way line of Galveston St. to the place of beginning;
is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.

SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves on the entire area
described in Section 1, a utility easement for the purposes of laying and maintaining
all kind and character of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone,
television cable, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
