ORDINANCE WAIVING ORDINANCE NO. 2491 ,
AS AMENDED, AND ARTICLE II OF
CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO ALLOW SALE OF BEER AND TEMPORARY
OPERATION OF A PUBLIC DANCE HALL AT
KAPPA ALPHA ORDER/FALLS DISTRIBUTING
CO. 'S SPRINGFEST 83 AT THE 4-H BARN
ON MARCH 26, 1983.
WHEREAS, Kappa Alpha Order and Falls Distributing Co. are jointly sponsoring
Springfest 83, at the 4-H Barn on Midwestern Parkway between 8:00 p.m. and 1 :00 a.m.
on Saturday March 26, 1983; and,
WHEREAS, Springfest 83 is a fund-raising event with proceeds given to the
Muscular Distrophy Association; and,
WHEREAS, the sponsors of this event have requested permission for sale of
beer and operation of a dance hall ; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen find that the circumstances involved are
exceptional and that waiver of Ordinance No. 2491 and Article II of Chapter 25 of
the Code of Ordinances should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The requirements of Ordinance No. 2491 and Article II of Chapter 25 of the
Code of Ordinances are hereby waived to allow sale of beer and temporary operation
of a public dance at Springfest 83 at the 4-H Barn on Midwestern Parkway on
March 26, 1983.
