AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING THE NORTH THIRTY (30)
FEET OF AN EIGHTY (80) FOOT WIDE UNNAMED STREET LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS
4 AND 7, FAITH VILLAGE, UNIT I, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has
recommended the closure of the north thirty (30) feet of an eighty (80) foot wide,
unnamed street lying between Blocks 4 and 7, Faith Village, Unit I; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the street
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The north thirty (30) feet of the eighty (80) foot wide
easterly-westerly, unnamed street lying west of the westerly right-of-way line of
Faith Road between Blocks 4 and 7, Faith Village, Unit I, an addition to the City
of Wichita Falls, Texas, more fully described hereinafter, be and the same is
hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned, to wit:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the north right-of-way line of the
unnamed street and the west right-of-way line of Faith Road;
THENCE along said west right-of-way line, South 28° 15' West a distance
of 31.71 feet;
THENCE North 80° 40' 13" West a distance of 137.21 feet;
THENCE North 28° 17' 32" East a distance of 31.72 feet;
THENCE South 80° 40' 21" East a distance of 137.19 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING and containing .09 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves on the portion of
the street to be closed as described in Section 1, a utility easement for the pur-
poses of laying and maintaining all kind and character of utility lines including
water, gas, electric, telephone, television cable, power lines and sanitary and
storm sewers.
