RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID OF SAM GIBBS MUSIC
COMPANY FOR INSTALLATION OF SOUND SYSTEM IN
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBER.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has issued bid invitations
for the purchase and installation of a replacement sound system
for the City Council Chamber to the three known vendors installing
quality sound systems; and,
WHEREAS, only one bidder, Sam Gibbs Music Company, responded;
such bidder bid $6, 850. 00 for a permanent system, and bid an
additional $785. 00 for two additional items which would provide
portablity of the system; and,
WHEREAS, it is found that the bid is a fair and reasonable
bid, and should be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of Sam Gibbs Music Company in the amount of $7, 645. 00
for the complete system, including the portability option is
hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute
a contract with this bidder for such purchase and installation.
