AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING
A PORTION OF A TWENTY (20) FOOT WIDE NORTH-
SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 1, HAVEN PARK ADDITION,
AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has
recommended abandonment of the alley between Lots 13-14, and an unnumbered
triangular lot to the west, in the Haven Park Addition; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the alley
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The portion of the north-south twenty (20) foot wide alley in
Block 1, Haven Park Addition, more specifically described as follows :
BEGINNING at the north-east corner of the triangular unnumbered
lot in Block 1, Haven Park Addition to the City of Wichita Falls,
said point also being on the south right-of-way of the Aqueduct;
THENCE south along the east property line of said unnumbered
triangular lot, a distance of forty-five (45) feet, more-or-less,
to a point, said point being the south-east corner of said lot;
THENCE east twenty (20) feet crossing the north-south alley to
a point in the west boundary of Lot 13, Block 1, Haven Park
Addition;
THENCE north fifty (50) feet, more or less, along the west property
line of Lots 13 & 14, Block 1, Haven Park Addition to a point in
the south right-of-way line of the Aqueduct;
THENCE in a south westerly direction along the south right-of-way
line of said Aqueduct to the place of beginning;
be and the same is closed, vacated, and abandoned.
