RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR CERTAIN PARCELS
OF EXCESS REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE DEEDS.
WHEREAS, the following parcels of real property located
in Wichita County have been identified as excess and have been
advertised to the public by sealed bids:
Parcel A 1408 - 1430 Midwestern Parkway East
The remainder of Lots 19-30; Block 21,
Hillcrest Addition, less a 15 foot
wide strip off of the south side of
the tract to be reserved for right-of-way.
Parcel B 1400 - 1406 Midwestern Parkway East
The remainder of Lots 31-34 , Block 21,
Hillcrest Addition.
Parcel C 1801 Fifth Street
A 100 ' x 332 ' tract off of the northeast
corner of Lot 1-B, Replat of Lot 1,
Block 7 , Bellevue Addition.
WHEREAS, the highest bids received for the above-described
properties were from the following persons:
Parcel A William H. Clement 17 , 699 . 00
Parcel B Victory Baptist Church 5, 000 . 00
Parcel C American Red Cross 30, 000 . 00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The above bids of Victory Baptist Church for Parcel B
and the American Red Cross for Parcel C are hereby accepted.
The bid of William H. Clement for Parcel A is rejected, and
Parcel A will be re-advertised at a later date.
Mr. James Berzina, City Manager of the City of Wichita
Falls, is authorized to execute the deeds on behalf of the
City of Wichita Falls for the conveyances.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 16th day of December, 1986.
