RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH GROVES
AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PRELIMINARY STUDY
AND PERMITTING FOR THE LOW WATER DAM
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires to proceed with the
construction of a low water dam on the Big Wichita River as generally set
forth in, "The Feasibility Study and Backwater Analysis for Riverwalk Project
and Related Projects for Wichita Falls, Texas";
WHEREAS, the engineering firm of Groves and Associates, Inc. has
agreed to conduct the preliminary study inclusive of obtaining the necessary
permits from the State and Federal Agencies having jurisdiction; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract with the consulting
engineer for this work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract with Groves and Associates, Inc. , of San Antonio, Texas,
is hereby approved with a maximum cost of $23,500.00, and the City Manager is
authorized to execute said contract.
