RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF ELEVATED STORAGE TANKS
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the
construction and relocation of two 1MG elevated water storage tanks;
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder for the
relocation of an existing 1MG tank to the Reilly Road site is Abhe & Svoboda,
Prior Lake, Minnesota, who bid a lump sum price of $317,285.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of a 1MG hydropillar elevated tank at the 287 site is Hydrostorage,
Inc. , Houston, Texas, who bid a lump sum price of $666,800.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Such lump sum bid of Abhe & Svoboda for $317,285.00 to relocate the
existing elevated tank, and such lump sum bid of Hydrostorage, Inc. for $666,800.00
to build a new hydropillar elevated tank are hereby accepted, and the City Manager
is authorized to execute a contract for the City with the said contractors for the
construction of the projects as stated.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 18TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1986.
