RESOLUTION TO APPROVE JOINT FUNDING AGREEMENT
WITH U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY FOR OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF STREAM FLOW AND RESERVOIR-CONTENT
GAUGING_ STATIONS
WHEREAS, the U.S. Geological Survey operates and maintains a series
of stream flow and reservoir-content gauging stations on the Little Wichita
River Watershed;
WHEREAS, the data from these stations are extremely important to the
City of Wichita Falls for the monitoring of water flows into current reservoirs
and for the planning of future reservoirs;
WHEREAS, the City has historically shared with U.S.G.S. in the cost
of operating and maintaining these stations; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has considered a proposed joint funding agreement
with the U.S.G.S. for the 1986-87 budget year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The said joint funding agreement is hereby approved with the City
share of the cost to be $10,300.00. The City Manager is authorized to execute
the agreement.
