RESOLUTION APPOINTING, JOINTLY WITH THE
WICHITA FALLS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT,
A SHARED REPRESENTATIVE ON THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE WICHITA COUNTY APPRAISAL
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Wichita County
Appraisal District consists of nine members with two year
staggered terms, appointed by the various governmental entities
in Wichita County; and,
WHEREAS, two members are appointed by the City of Wichita
Falls, with terms commencing January 1 each even year, and
one member is shared and appointed by the City of Wichita
Falls and the Wichita Falls Independent School District, for
a term commencing January 1 of each odd year; and,
WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Wichita Falls and the
Wichita Falls Independent School District jointly appointed
Hardy McAlister as their shared director for a term expiring
December 31, 1986 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City and School District must certify to
the Wichita County Clerk before November 15, 1986 , the name
and address of their shared director to serve on the Board
of Directors for a two year term commencing January 1, 1987 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appointed, jointly with the Wichita Falls
Independent School District, John Gavin, Jr. to
serve as our shared representative on the Board of Directors
of the Wichita County Appraisal District for a two year term
commencing January 1, 1987 .
