RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT FOR LEASING OF LAND
TO INJECT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT SLUDGE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls in August, 1983, entered into a
contract with Mr. Bill Harding of Byers, Texas, to lease land from Mr. Harding
for use by the City to inject sludge from the Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the current contract is due to expire in about two years
and the City and Mr. Harding are mutually desirous of having a longer term
contractual relationship; and,
WHEREAS, the Council considered a proposed contract to become
effective on November 1, 1986, which provides for a new lease period with a
renewal option at the end of the initial period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract between the City and Mr. Harding is hereby
approvedat a cost of $6,000.00 per year during the initial lease period, and
the City Manager is authorized to execute said contract.
