RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE WORK TO REMOVE ASBESTOS FROM THE
POLICE BUILDING AND AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE FINAL
PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Kossuth Insulators,
Inc. , Algona, Iowa, to remove the asbestos from the ceilings of the offices on the
main floor and two rooms on the ground floor of the police building;
WHEREAS, the work has been inspected by the job architect and the City
staff and found to be acceptable and completed in accordance with specifications;
WHEREAS, the original contract amount was $33,000.00 and damage was caused
to the office walls during asbestos removal and the cost to repair the damage is
985.00, leaving a balance due of $32,015.00; and,
WHEREAS, Kossuth Insulators, Inc. , has submitted a request for a final
payment of $32,015.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to remove the asbestos from the ceilings of police building
is accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final payment to Kossuth
Insulators, Inc. , in the amount of $32,015.00.
