Res 148-86 9/16/1986RESOLUTION NO. 4-1/,,6 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF THE 1985 SLURRY SEAL AND SCRATCH OVERLAY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and CYS Company, Inc. entered into a contract dated September 3, 1985, for the construction of the 1985 Slurry Seal and Scratch Overlay Maintenance Program; WHEREAS, such project has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications; and, WHEREAS, such contract was a unit price contract and the estimated cost based on estimated quantities was $277,025.12; however, an extra $69,000.00 was appropriated, raising the estimated contract price to $346,025.12, of which 345,184.62 of work has been completed by the contractor, and $272,670.35 has been paid to the contractor, leaving a balance due of $72,514.27; and, WHEREAS, this project was completed on September 15, 1986. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The construction of such project is accepted by the City of Wichita Falls, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to pay to the contractor the amount due as set out above.
