RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH THE TEXAS
PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FOR USE OF LAND
AT LAKE KEMP
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the Wichita County Water
Improvement District No. 2 jointly own 475.9 acres of land, more or less,
at the present dam site area at Lake Kemp in Baylor County, Texas;
WHEREAS, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has requested
permission of the City and District to locate a boathouse on the City-District
owned lands for use by the State Game Warden; and,
WHEREAS, a proposed agreement has been coordinated between the
State, District, and City, and certain other interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The attached agreement between the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita
County Water Improvement District No. 2, and State of Texas (Parks and Wildlife
Department) is hereby approved, and the City Manager is authorized to execute
the same for the City of Wichita Falls.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 2ND DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1986.
