RESOLUTION APPROVING RENTAL AGREEMENT FORM,
AND THE RULES AND FEES CONTAINED THEREIN, FOR
THE LOG CABIN IN LUCY PARK.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
That certain rental agreement form, a copy of which is attached
hereto , and the rules and fees contained therein, for the Log
Cabin in Lucy Park, are hereby approved, and the Director of Parks
and Recreation is authorized to execute such agreement for the
City to renters of the Log Cabin.

LOG CABIN RENTAL AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City
of Wichita Falls, acting by its Director of Parks and Recreation,
and hereinafter called
Lessee", provides for the rental of Log Cabin located in Lucy
Park upon the terms and conditions herein set forth:
1. No loud music or boisterous activities will be permitted.
2. Alcoholic beverages permitted on the Log Cabin premises
only by the approval of the Parks and Recreation Director.
3. Decorations may not be affixed to any portion of the cabin
except by securing with string or rope. All decorations, including
string and rope, must be completely removed after each rental period.
4. Tablecloths must be used on tables if food or liquids are
involved. Paper table coverings are acceptable in lieu of tablecloths
provided no tape, tacks or glue is applied to the table.
5. Cabin renters are responsible for picking up and depositing
all paper goods, food, bottles, cans and other debris in the dumpster
provided in the parking lot. Floors are to be swept and mopped in an
acceptable manner.
6. Problems with appliances, heating/cooling unit, water heater,
etc., must be reported to the Parks and Recreation Office. No attempt
may be made by renter to repair any appliance in the cabin.
7. Rentals must be made in person by adults only, who must also
be residents of the City of Wichita Falls.
8. Events or parties for youths (18 and under), must be chaperoned
by a minimum of one (1) adult per 20 youths.
9. A maximum of 55 patrons may be present for a function within
the cabin.
10. The Parks and Recreation Department staff or authorized agents
may inspect a function at any time and demand a function's termination
if they feel a policy has been broken or abused. A Parks and Recreation
staff member will inspect the facility after each function.

11. The log cabin is available for rent seven (7) days a week
from 10 a.m. until 10 P.m. The cabin must not be opened prior to
10 a.m. and must be cleaned and secured by 10 p.m. unless prior

12. The log cabin may be reserved up to six (6) months in
advance, in person, at the Parks and Recreation Office, Room 109,
Memorial Auditorium, 1300 Seventh Street. No phone reservations
shall be accepted. The Parks and Recreation Department has the
right to prohibit use of the log cabin to previous policy offenders.
13. Cabin rental is available in four (4) hour increments:
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. ; 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.; 6p.m. - 10 p.m. Rental fee is
30.00 for each four (4) hour period. No charge is to be made for
use by the City of Wichita Falls.
14. A key deposit of $15.00 is required for cabin and gate
keys. Keys may be picked up one day prior to the reservation date
or on Friday for Sunday reservations at the Parks and Recreation
Office.
15. A $100.00 clean-up and damage deposit is required no later
than five (5) working days prior to rental date. Deposit will be
returned in full or part, depending on any clean-up or damage
incurred, within ten (10) days after rental. Should clean-up or damage
exceed deposit, renter will be billed for additional costs, payable
immediately upon receipt of bill from the City of Wichita Falls.
16. Rental fee and deposit is to be paid before the building
is considered reserved.
17. No sales by renters will be permitted from or within the
cabin without prior approval of the Director of Parks and Recreation.
18. All lights, thermostat, and any other appliance turned on
by the renter must be turned off and the cabin and gates properly
secured prior to leaving.

19. Lessee's failure to comply with the conditions set forth above may
result in Lessor's termination of this agreement and any future use of the Log
Cabin by Lessee or Lessee's association.
IN TESTIMONY OF WHICH this agreement has been executed by the above-named
Lessee at Wichita Falls, Tex.=, on t..:., "'- day of t

by the Director of Parks and Recreation of the City of Wichita Falls.
