RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTHORIZING
FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR FOR COMPLETION OF
THE HARRISON RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Taylor and Company entered
into a contract dated September 24, 1985, for the Harrison reconstruction project;
and,
WHEREAS, such project has been completed in accordance with the plans
and specifications; and,
WHEREAS, such contract was the unit price contract and the total cost
based on completed quanities was $188,407.08; however, $176,711 .72 has been paid
to the contractor, and $1 ,225.00 have been rightfully deducted from the contractor
as liquidated damages and other expenses, leaving a balance due of $10,470.36.
The project was accepted June 30, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such project is accepted by the City of Wichita
Falls, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to pay the contractor the
amount due as set out above.
