RESOLUTION TO APPROVE OVERSIZE COSTS FOR THE
RELOCATION OF A SEWER LIFT STATION ON KEMP BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a sewer lift station on Lot 7,
Block 70, Faith Village, Unit II Subdivision;
WHEREAS, a developer intends to replat Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 into
a single property (Lot 4-A) for development, and the said sewer lift station
will interfere with the proposed construction of commercial buildings;
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the developer and the City of Wichita
Falls to relocate and increase the capacity of the existing sewer lift station;
WHEREAS, the developer has agreed to pay the first $15,000.00 of
construction cost and all engineering cost and fees;
WHEREAS, the Council believes it is to the benefit of the City to pay
the remaining construction cost plus all costs for increasing the size of the
new lift station; and,
WHEREAS, the developer has received bids in accordance with State Law
for municipal bidding processes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Council hereby approves the award of a bid by the developer to the
Bowles Construction Company for $39,347.00, and the Council hereby approves the
of the Cit for a cost of $24,347.00, said participating cost to beparticipationCityPP
paid to Plannah Scarbrough, the developer, upon completion of the relocation project.
The City Manager is authorized to make a payment of $24,347.00 when the project is
complete and when the City staff has inspected and approved the construction.
The adoption of this resolution is independent of the application for
a building permit on the proposed Lot 4-A, and doesn't obligate the City to
issue a building permit on such lot in the future.
