RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR VARIABLE FREQUENCY
DRIVE MOTOR CONTROL AT LAKE ARROWHEAD
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised for bids for installation
of a variable frequency drive motor control unit at Lake Arrowhead;
WHEREAS, the bid document specified award of the bid would be based on
the calculation of the operating efficiency of the motor control unit, said efficiency
being stated as the product of a formula to determine the present value dollar amount;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the bids submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of the Marvin Groves Electric Company of Wichita Falls, for a
present value of $958,863.70 is the lowest, responsible bid. The City Manager is
authorized to execute a contract with the Marvin Groves Electric Company for installa-
tion of the motor control unit at a cost bid in the contract document for installation
of $168,914.00.
