RESOLUTION DETERMINING NECESSITY FOR ACQUISITION
OF PROPERTY FOR A WATERLINE FROM THE CYPRESS
STREET WATER PLANT TO REILLY ROAD AND AUTHORIZING
EMPLOYMENT OF APPRAISERS .
WHEREAS, the City issued $12 million in bonds to finance
major improvements to its water production and distribution systems;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized Biggs & Mathews, Inc . , to
perform engineering services for the construction of a 24-inch pipe
line and elevated storage tanks ; and,
WHEREAS, it has now been determined that approximately thirty-
four (34) parcels of property will be required in order to complete
the waterline project .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT:
It is deemed necessary by the City Council that the Property
Management Division proceed to acquire utility easements or fee
simple title, where applicable, on the parcels of property identified
for the Cypress to Reilly Road Water Line Project; and begin the
acquisition process by employing qualified appraisers , who will
determine the current fair market value of the property to be
acquired.
