RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING ELECTION PRECINCTS FOR
CITY ELECTIONS, AND DESIGNATING THE LOCATION OF
THE POLLING PLACE FOR EACH SUCH ELECTION PRECINCT.
WHEREAS , the City Council desires to make it as easy as
possible for Wichita Falls voters to vote in City elections by
designating locations for polling places which are convenient and
readily accessible to the voters ; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council further desires to cooperate fully
with the Wichita Falls Independent School District to designate
common polling places with the School District, so that voters will
not have to go to two different polling places in one day to vote
in both the School and the City elections .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , THAT :
SECTION ONE. In order to carry out the above purposes, the
City Council hereby establishes , for elections which will be ordered
in the future by the City Council, the election precincts set out
and described in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference .
SECTION TWO. The City Council hereby designates the location
of the polling place for each of its election precincts as set out
in said Exhibit A.
SECTION THREE. The election precincts and the polling places
shown on said Exhibit A shall remain established and designated
until they are changed at the City Council 's discretion.
SECTION FOUR. For information, said Exhibit A also shows the
number of registered voters in each City election precinct as of
April 5 , 1986 .
