RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
TEXAS LITTER REDUCTION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS , the Texas Highway Department has initiated a
cooperative program to reduce the rate of litter on state highway
right-of-ways ; and ,
WHEREAS , the reduction of litter on state highway right-of-
ways within the corporate limits is in the best interests of the
City of Wichita Falls .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract
with the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation
for participation in the Texas litter reduction program .
