RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PUCKETT STREET
ELEVATED TANK PAINTING PROJECT AND
TO AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE A
FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
O.L.D. Company, Inc. of Mineral Wells, Texas, for the painting
and repairing of the Puckett Street Water Storage Tank;
WHEREAS, the work has been completed and has been inspected
and found acceptable by the city staff;
WHEREAS, the contractor has submitted a request for final
payment in the amount of $28,776. 00; and,
WHEREAS, liquidated damages of $90. 00 per calendar day are
to be assessed for 70 calendar days during which the work was not
completed as specified by the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to paint and repair the Puckett Street Elevated
Water Storage Tank is accepted, and the City Manager is
authorized to make a final payment to the O.L.D. Comp.ny, Inc. ,
in the amount of $22, 476. 00.
