RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE CONTRACTS WITH WICHITA FALLS FINANCIAL
INSTITUTIONS FOR ALARM MONITOR SERVICE.
WHEREAS, police dispatchers presently monitor alarm lines
for various Wichita Falls financial institutions; and,
WHEREAS, relocation of the alarm lines will be required at
the expense of the financial institutions when the new communica-
tions center begins operations; and,
WHEREAS, relocation of the alarm lines will not be economically
feasible unless the new systems are allowed to remain for a period
of five (5) years .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT :
The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute
a contract with each financial institution providing that the
financial institutions will not be required to remove their systems
for five (5) years if they pay the cost to extend telephone lines,
install and wire the control panel in the new equipment room, wire
the display panel on the police radio console, and continue to pay
the monthly monitor fee as required by City ordinance, as it now
exists or may hereafter be amended.
