RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
FOR THE LAKE ARROWHEAD SLOPE PROTECTION
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Zack
Burkett Company for the installation of 15,550 tons of stone rip-rap on the
face of the Lake Arrowhead Dam at a cost of $637,795.00;
WHEREAS, the 15,550 tons has been installed and an additional 1 ,000
lineal feet of dam needs to be repaired;
WHEREAS, the Council desires to accomplish as much of that repair as
is possible under the current contract;
WHEREAS, the contractor has proposed to reduce the unit cost per ton
of rock from $38.60 per ton in the original contract to $35.00 per ton for this
addiitional work;
WHEREAS, the Council has examined the proposed Change Order No. 1 to
the contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 1 to the Lake Arrowhead slope protection project is
hereby approved in the maximum amount of $159,250.00 for the installation of a
maximum amount of 4,550 tons of additional stone, and the City Manager is authorized
to execute the change order.
