RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR CERTAIN PARCELS OF
EXCESS REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF DEEDS .
WHEREAS, the following parcels of real property located in
Wichita Falls have been identified as excess and have been advertised
for sale to the public by sealed bid :
Parcel No . 1
432 Flood
Lot 20 , Block 2 , Homewood Addition.
Parcel No . 2
1113 & 1121 Homes
Two tracts of land totaling 1 .669 acres out of Block 4 ,
Sayles Subdivision of J . A. Scott Survey 12 , Abstract 296 ,
more particularly described as :
Tract A
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the North line of
Lincoln Park and the West right-of-way line of Homes Avenue;
THENCE North 129 .5 feet to a point for the Northwest corner
of this tract;
THENCE East 416 .7 feet to a point;
THENCE South along the West line of a tract owned by
Rebecca Durkee, 168 .6 feet to a point for the Southwest
corner of this tract;
THENCE West 366 .7 feet to a point;
THENCE North 37 .1 feet to a point;
THENCE West 50 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing
1 .613 acres .
Tract B
BEGINNING at a point in the East right-of-way line of Homes
Avenue, said point being 50 feet East and 37 .1 feet South of
the Northeast corner of Lincoln Park;
THENCE East 50 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE South 48 .6 feet to a point for a corner;
THENCE West 50 feet to a point for a corner in the East
right-of-way line of Homes Avenue;
THENCE North 48 .6 feet along the East line of Homes Avenue
and to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, containing 0 .056 acres .
and,
WHEREAS , two bids were submitted for Parcel No . 1 and one bid
was submitted for Parcel No . 2 , and the high bids were as follows :
Parcel No . 1 David E . Brock 250 .00
Parcel No . 2 David E . Brock 250 .00
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT:
The above bids of David E . Brock for Parcels No . 1 and 2 are
hereby accepted . The Mayor is hereby authorized to join with the
officers of the Wichita Falls Independent School District and the
Wichita Falls Junior College District in executing a deed for
Tract B of Parcel No. 2 , which was acquired through a delinquent
tax suit, and the City Manager is authorized to execute the deeds
for Parcel No. 1 and Tract A of Parcel No . 2 , for which the City of
Wichita Falls holds the title .
