RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR
KELL BOULEVARD UTILITY RELOCATION PROJECT,
ACCEPT THE COMPLETED PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE
FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and Bowles Construction Company
have a contract for the relocation of certain utility lines on Kell Boulevard;
WHEREAS, the project is now complete and has been inspected by the
Utilities staff;
WHEREAS, during the course of the project certain alterations were
required that resulted in Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $8,646.03;
WHEREAS, there are two unpaid city invoices in the amount of $1 ,411 .39
which were issued to Bowles Construction Company for damages and materials in
connection with the project, said amount to be withheld from the final payment; and,
WHEREAS, the Council is satisfied the work has been completed satisfactorily;
the additional work, time and materials contained in Change Order No. 1 were necessary
to the orderly prosection of the project; and the two invoices are valid for with-
holding from the final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council does hereby approve Change Order No. 1 for the Kell
Boulevard Utility Recloation Project, and does accept the project as complete. The
City Manager is authorized to execute the change order and to make a final payment
to Bowles Construction Company in the amount of $42,273.39.
