ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 4-15 AND SECTION 25-14
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW THE SALE OF
BEER AT LUCY PARK ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 27, 1983
FOR PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS FUND RAISING PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Chapter 246 of Parents Without Partners is sponsoring
a fund raising project at the Lucy Park picnic shelter on Saturday
evening, August 27 , 1983; this function will be open to members,
previous members and prospective new members, and will be used as
a major fund raiser for financing their programs and educational
functions for members and their families; and,
WHEREAS, the sponsors of the event have requested permission
for beer to be sold at such event; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council find that the circumstances involved
in this situation are exceptional , and that a waiver of Sections 4-15
and 25-14 of the Code of Ordinances should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The requirements of Section 4-15 and Section 25-14 of the Code
of Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the sale of beer at such
event at the Lucy Park picnic shelter on August 27 , 1983 .
