AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND ABANDONING A TWENTY
(20) FOOT WIDE ALLEY IN BLOCK 20, JALONICK ADDITION,
AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls has recommended
that the twenty (20) foot wide northeast-southwest alley in Block 20 of the Jalonick
Addition, Wichita Falls, Texas be closed, vacated, and abandoned; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it
advisable and in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the alley here-
after described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The twenty (20) foot alley in Block 20, Jalonick Addition
being more specifically described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northerly corner of the remaining portion of Lot 20,
Block 20 of the Jalonick Addition, said point also being the intersec-
tion of the south line of the twenty (20) foot alley and the west
right-of-way line of Broad Street, a dedicated street;
THENCE along the south line of the twenty (20) foot alley in a south-
westerly direction for a distance of five-hundred and ten (510) feet,
more or less, to a point on the northwest corner of the remaining
portion of Lot 11, Block 20 of Jalonick Addition, said point also being
the intersection of the south line of the alley and the east right-of-way
line of Holliday Street;
THENCE along the east right-of-way line of said Holliday Street in a
northerly direction for twenty (20) feet to the southwestern corner of
Lot 2-A, Block 20, of said Jalonick Addition;
THENCE leaving said point on the east right-of-way line of Holliday
Street and proceeding along the north line of said twenty (20) foot
alley five hundred and fifteen (515) feet more or less along the southern
property line of Lots 2-A and 1-A, to a point on the southeast corner
of Lot 1-A, Block 20 of the Jalonick Addition, said point also being the
intersection of the north line of the alley and the west right-of-way line
of Broad Street;
THENCE along the west right-of-way line of Broad Street for a distance of
twenty (20) feet to the place of beginning;
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated, and abandoned.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the filing with
the Wichita County Clerk of a plat of Block 20, Jalonick Addition containing the
alley herein closed and the dedication of an easement as required by the Director
of Public Utilities.
