Ord 111-83 9/20/1983 ORDINANCE NO. /214-1. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 7 OF SECTION 18-1/2-2, MECHANICAL CODE, TO CHANGE THE SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: Subsection 7 of Section 18-1/2-2 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: "(7) Subsection 106.3 is hereby amended to read as follows: '106.3--Schedule of Permit Fees Permit Fees: (a) For issuing each permit $10.00 (b) (1 ) Fee for heating, ventilating, duct, air conditioning and refrigeration systems shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) PLUS two dollars and sixty-five cents ($2.65) per each one thousand dollars ($1 ,000.00) or fraction thereof. Residential fee shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) . (2) Repairs, alterations and additions to an existing system where cost is over five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be two dollars and sixty-five cents ($2.65) per each one thousand dollars ($1 ,000.00) or fraction thereof in evaluation. (c) Fee for Re-Inspection. In case it becomes necessary to make a re-inspection of a heating, ventilating, air conditiong or refrigeration system, the installer of such equipment shall pay a re-inspection fee of ten dollars ($10.00) . (d) Temporary Operation Inspection Fee. For inspecting a heating, ventilating refrigeration, or air conditioning system, a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be paid by the contractor requesting such inspection. If the system is not approved for temporary operation on the first inspection, for each subsequent inspection for such purpose, the usual re-inspection fee of ten dollars ($10.00) will be charged. (e) In all buildings except one and two family dwellings using self-contained air conditioning units less than two tons, the fee charged shall be that for the total tonnage of all units combined (see Paragraph (a) above for rate) . Minimum fee shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) . (f) Boilers Based on BTU Input: 33,000 BTU (L BHP) to 165,000 (5 BHP) $10.00 165,001 BTU (5 BHP) to 330,000 (10 BHP) $20.00 330,001 BTU (10 BHP) to 1 ,165,000 (52 BHP) $25.00 1 ,165,001 BTU (52 BHP) to 3,300,000 BTU (98 BHP) $45.00 (g) Re-Inspection Fee. In case it becomes necessary to make a re-inspection of the installation of a boiler, the person, firm, corporation or owner to whom a permit is issued shall pay for each re-inspection a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) . '" The fact that these amounts will be due and that it is essential for the immediate use of the City of Wichita Falls creates an emergency, therefore this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
