Ord 120-83 9/20/1983 ORDINANCE NO 120-83 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32-1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO REQUIRE A RECONNECT FEE OR FIFTEEN DOLLARS ($15.00) WHEREAS, the cost of cutting off water for non-payment has increased substantially over preceding years; and, WHEREAS, the reconnect fee of five dollars ($5.00) is now substantially less than the cost of cutting off and restoring water service. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT: Section 32-1 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: All services for water, sewer, and sanitation shall be billed together. "All water, sewer, and sanitaiton accounts shall be payable monthly and shall carry a due date of approximately ten (10) days after the billing date. If such bill has not been paid by the billing date of the succeeding month's bill , then the succeeding month's bill will include a delinquent notice, which will state that the customer's service will be discontinued. without further notice unless payment is made on or before the due date, and a re-connect fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) must be paid before service will be restored. If the full amount has not been paid on or before the due of the second month 's bill , water, sewer, sewer and sanitation services will be discontinued and will be restored only with the full payment of the account plus an additional charge of fifteen dollars ($15.00) for disconnecting and restoring service fee for each disconnect action required."
