ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-127 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS TO
ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF,
AND INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FIRE CAPTAINS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 15-127 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"The following positions in the Fire Department are classified under
Civil Service in compliance with Section 8 of the Article 1269m of the
Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, as amended, and they are hereby set out
as follows:
Classification - Title Number of Positions
Firefighter 62
Fire Equipment Operator 51
Fire Lieutenant 21
Fire Captain 10
Fire Battalion Chief 3
Assistant Fire Chief 1
No other person employed by the City may be classified as holding a
position under Civil Service with th e Fire Department."
