ORDINANCE DISANNEXING APPROXIMATELY 20 .117 ACRES OF
LAND OUT OF WASHEX SUBDIVISION, BLOCK 1 .
WHEREAS, Washex Machinery Corporation has requested that the
City disannex a tract, containing approximately 20 .117 acres, out
of Washex Subdivision, Block 1 , which is all of such Block 1 except
for a strip 200 feet wide along the expressway on which such block
fronts, and except the land on which their present plant is situated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Such 20 .117 acres, more or less, hereinafter des-
cribed, is not suitable or necessary for City purposes .
SECTION 2. Such 20 .117 acres, more or less, hereinafter des-
cribed, is hereby disannexed and discontinued as a part of the City
of Wichita Falls, and shall hereafter cease to be a part of the City.
Such 20 .117 acres, more or less, is described as follows:
All of Washex Subdivision, Block 1, an addition to the City
of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, as shown on the
Plat of Record in the office of the County Clerk of Wichita
County, Texas (which Block 1 contains 30 . 5 acres, more or
less) , save and except 10 .383 acres, more or less, out of
said Block 1, which 10 .383 acres, more or less, is described
by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west right-of-way line of U.S .
277-281 Expressway (Central Freeway) , said point bears South
66° 05 ' East 3 , 058 . 50 feet from the northwest corner of the
A. R. Collins Survey, A-414;
Thence along said west right-of-way line South 32° 21 ' East
1 ,314 .22 feet to a Texas Highway Department Monument for a
point of curvature; along a 1 .500 degree curve to the right,
having a central angle of 04° 46 ' and a radius of 3819 .72 feet, a

total distance of 317 . 78 feet to a point for the Southeast
corner of said Washex Subdivision, Block 1;
Thence along the South line of said Washex Subdivision,
Block 1, South 89° 51 ' West 227 .04 feet to a point for
corner;
Thence along a line 200 .00 feet West of and parallel to
said West right-of-way line of U.S . 277-281, along 1 .583
degree curve to the left, having a central angle of 03°
06 ' 38 .5" and a radius of 3 , 619 .72 feet, a total distance
of 196 . 52 feet to a point of tangency; North 32° 21' West
366.22 feet to an ell corner of this tract;
Thence South 57° 39 ' West 308 .00 feet to a point for corner;
Thence North 32° 21 ' West 448 .00 feet to a point for corner;
Thence North 57° 39 ' East 308 .00 feet to an ell corner of
this tract;
Thence along a line 200 .00 feet west of and parallel to
said West right-of-way line of U.S . 277-281, North 32°
21 ' West 500 .00 feet to a point in the North line of said
Washex Subdivision, Block 1;
Thence along said North line of Washex Subdivision, Block 1,
North 57° 39 ' East 200 .00 feet to the place of beginning,
and containing 10.383 acres, more or less.
SECTION 3 . It is the intention of the City Council to except
from disannexation, by including within the 10 .383 acre tract des-
cribed by metes and bounds above, all of the land on which the
present plant of Washex Machinery Corporation is located. In the
event such metes and bounds description of the 10 .383 acre tract
erroneously fails to include any part of such present plant, the land
on which such part of the present plant is located is not disannexed
by this ordinance, but shall remain within the City limits of the
City of Wichita Falls.
