ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTIONS 4-15 AND 4-24 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW SALE OF BEER AT 4-H
BARN ON SATURDAY, MARCH 31, 1984 .
WHEREAS, Kappa Alpha Order is sponsoring their "Springfest
' 84" on Saturday, March 31, 1984, at the 4-H Barn on Midwestern
Parkway in Wichita Falls, beginning at 8 : 00 p.m. and ending at
1: 00 a.m. , and the proceeds of this fund-raising event will be
used by the Muscular Dystrophy Association to benefit those
stricken by muscular dystrophy; and,
WHEREAS, the sponsors of this event have requested permission
for beer to be sold at this event; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council find that the circumstances
involved in this situation are exceptional, and that a waiver of
Sections 4-15 and 4-24 of the Code of Ordinances should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , THAT:
The requirements of Sections 4-15 and 4-24 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the sale of beer at such
event at the 4-H Barn on Midwestern Parkway on March 31, 1984 .
