ORDINANCE REMOVING ASSESSMENT AND LIFTS FROM THOMPSON
ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PAVING PROJECT (Project 83-2) .
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 22-84 dated February 21, 1984 the City Council of the
City of Wichita Falls determined to pave and otherwise improve certain
streets; and,
WHEREAS, the funds to be utilized were for the most part Community Development
funds; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has recently determined
that paving programs using Community Development funds were not acceptable where
property owners were assessed any portion of the cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDIANED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
The assessments for the improvements on the following attached portions of streets
shall be abandoned and released.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a Notice of this Ordinance with the
County Clerk of Wichita County, Texas, for the purpose of releasing the assess-
ment liens against such properties abutting the portions of streets set out in
said attachment.

NOTICE OF RELEASE OF PAVING ASSESSMENT LIENS
WHEREAS, heretofore the City of Wichita Falls filed in the office of County
Clerk of Wichita County, Texas a notice that the following street in Wichita
Falls will be improved and a portion of the cost of such improvement would be
assessed as a lien upon properties abutting thereon, to-wit:
THOMPSON ROAD: From the north property line of Eastside
Drive (State Highway 240) to the south
property line of Harding Street.
Said notice is recorded in the Deed of Trust Records of Wichita County, Texas;
and,
WHEREAS, on March 20, 1984, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls adopted

an Ordinance in which they released the above described assessment paving liens,
and directed the City Clerk to file a notice of such ordinance with the County
Clerk of Wichita County.
NOW, THEREFORE, notice is hereby given that such paving assessment liens have
been released by the City of Wichita Falls.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Wichita Falls has caused this notice to be
executed this the 20th day of March, 1984.
