RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE
OF SELF CONTAINED BREATHING
APPARATUS, (SCBA) , FOR THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas has adopted a budget to allow for the replacement of
1/4 of the SCBA for the Fire Department in fiscal year
1987-88; and
WHEREAS, it is vital to have only one type of SCBA
because of familiarity, exchange of bottles and
serviceability; and
WHEREAS, the Scott Air-Pak 4. 5 Positive Pressure unit
has several exclusive and/or patented features desirable to
the Fire Department that create a natural monopoly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to approve the pu chase
of the Scott Air-Pak 4. 5 Positive Pressure units up • the
amount of $30,000. 00.
