RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING CONTRACT
FOR PUMP CONTROLS AT SEWER LIFT STATION 1
WHEREAS, the city of Wichita Falls desires to upgrade the central
pump controls for Sewage Lift Station Number 1 at the River Road Wastewater
Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, this can be accomplished using a City-owned programmable logic
controller;
WHEREAS, the controller must be relocated to the lift station and
reprogrammed to perform the central control functions for the five pumps in the
lift station;
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract with EMD, Inc.
whereby the firm will accomplish the necessary relocation, installation and programming
of the programmable logic controller.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract with EMD, Inc. to upgrade the pump controls at Sewage Lift
Station No. 1 is hereby approved for a fee of $11 ,455.00, and the City Manager 's
authorized to execute the contract.
