RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 1 FOR
CYPRESS-TO-REILLY ROAD WATERLINE, ACCEPT THE
PROJECT AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Bowles
Construction Company for installation of a 24" and 20" waterline;
WHEREAS, the original contract for the construction work was
1,595, 196.25;
WHEREAS, Change Order Number 1 has been examined by the Council
and is hereby approved in the amount of $7,433 .51, bringing the
contract total to $1, 602, 629.76;
WHEREAS, the contractor earned a bonus under the terms of the
contract of $2,700. 00, thereby increasing the total contract price to
1, 605, 329.76;
WHEREAS, the City has previously paid $1, 565,938.32 to the
contractor, leaving an amount due of $39,391.44 ; and,
WHEREAS, the staff has inspected the installation work and found
it acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract for installation of the Cypress-to-Reilly Road
waterline is hereby accepted as complete. Change Order Number 1 is
approved, and the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment
of $39, 391.44 to the contractor.
