RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING CONSULTING FIRM FOR EVALUATION OF
SELECTED SEWAGE LIFT STATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a large number of
sewage lift stations throughout the city which are vital to the
successful operation of the sewage collection system;
WHEREAS, a number of these stations have been in use for an
extended period of time without significant investment;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to evaluate a selected number of
these stations to determine the improvements required to assure
the continued reliability of the station and the sewage
collection system; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract with
the engineering firm of Biggs & Mathews, Incorporated for the
purpose of evaluating the lift stations, determining the
improvements required, and submitting an engineering report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The proposed contract 'with the engineering firm of Biggs &
Mathews, Incorporated for evaluation of 14 sewage lift stations
is hereby approved with an engineering fee in an amount not to
exceed $31, 500.00. The City Manager is authorized to e •-cute the
contract for the City.
