RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDER 1 FOR THE
PROJECT TO CONSTRUCT SEWER LIFT STATION, HOLLIDAY
CREEK AND BOOKER T. WASHINGTON SCHOOL; ACCEPT THE
PROJECT AS COMPLETE; AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Walker
Road Boring, Inc. of Deandale, Texas, for the construction of a sewer lift
station, Holliday Creek and Booker T. Washington School ;
WHEREAS, the original contract for the work was in the amount of
41 ,298.50 and Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $9,980.50 is authorized,
bringing the new price to $51 ,279.00.
WHEREAS, previous payments in the amount of $34,621 .89 have been paid
to the contractor, leaving a balance due of $16,657.11 ; and,
WHEREAS, the staff has inspected the work and found it to be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 1 to the contract for the construction of Sewer
Lift Station, Holliday Creek and Booker T. Washington School is hereby approved,
bringing the contract cost to $51 ,279.00. The project is accepted and the City
Manager is authorized to make final payment to the contractor, Walker Road Boring,
Inc. in the amount of $16,657.11 .
