RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT TO INSTALL
TELEMETRY AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SANITARY
SEWER LIFT STATIONS AND WATER DISTRIBUTION
FACILITIES, AND TO AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
TO CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Marvin
Groves Electric Company for the installation of a telemetry and control system
for sanitary sewer lift stations and water distribution facilities, said contract
dated December 2, 1986 and having an amount of $293,760.00;
WHEREAS, two change orders with a combined cost of $24,007.00 have been
approved, bringing the contract total to $317,767.00;
WHEREAS, the contractor has completed the work, and the staff has
inspected the project and found the work to be acceptable;
WHEREAS, the City has made previous payments of $284,073.18 leaving
an amount due to the contractor of $33,693.82;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to install a telemetry and control system for water and
sewer facilities is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make
a final payment to Marvin Groves Electric Company in the amount of $33,69 .82.
