RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT 1986 BUDGET UTILITIES
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL
PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Opex, Inc.
to accomplish certain work in a project known as 1986 Budget Utilities Improvement
Project;
WHEREAS, the original contract price of $417,556.10 was increased by
a series of five approved change orders totaling $52,454.34, bringing the new
contract price to $470,010.44;
WHEREAS, the work is completed and the city staff has inspected the
work and found it acceptable; and,
WHEREAS, the contractor has been previously paid an amount of $463,406.47,
leaving an amount due to the contractor of $8,859.32.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The 1986 Budget Utilities Improvement Project is hereby accepted and
the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment in the amount of $8,859.32
to the contractor, Opex, Inc.
