RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A CONTRACT WITH
CONSULTING ENGINEERING FIRM FOR AN
ENGINEERING STUDY ON THE RIVER ROAD
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND TO CANCEL AN
EXISTING CONTRACT FOR THE SAME PURPOSE
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
the engineering consulting firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd
for an engineering study to determine the improvements
needed to upgrade the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant
to meet future effluent quality standards, said contract
dated May 5, 1987 ;
WHEREAS, it has been determined the scope of the
engineering study should be increased to include modernizing
the existing facility and reducing the number of process
units, as well as meeting identifiable future discharge
quality requirements;
WHEREAS, Council has examined a proposed contract to
achieve the increased scope of study; and,
WHEREAS, Council desires to approve the new contract
and cancel the aforesaid May 5, 1987 contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract between the City of Wichita Falls and the
engineering firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Incorporated
dated May 5, 1987 and describing an engineering study to
accomplish certain utility improvements in a project known
as River Road Effluent Standards is hereby canceled. A new
contract between the City of Wichita Falls and the
engineering firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd, Incorporated
to accomplish certain utility improvements in a project
known as River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant Nitrofication
and Modernization is hereby approved, with a fee of
38, 195. 00. The City Manager is authorized to execute the
said contract for the City of Wichita Falls.
