RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ENGINEERING FEE AND AMEND
ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH THE FIRM OF CORLETT,
PROBST AND BOYD FOR SLUDGE DEWATERING SYSTEM
AND RENOVATION OF SELECTED EXISTING PLANT
FACILITIES AT RIVER ROAD WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with the engineering
firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd for certain engineering work at the River Road
Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the original contract of May 5, 1987 did not specify the
engineering fees to be paid for Phase II and III;
WHEREAS, Council on August 18, 1987, by Council Bill #201 and Resolution
No. 139-87 amended the contract to include a maximum fee of $82,530 for engineering
of the sludge dewatering system;
WHEREAS, the engineering firm has now stated a maximum fee of $15,000 for
the engineering to renovate selected existing facilities of the plant, bringing the
total maximum engineering fee for Phases II and III to $97,530; and,
WHEREAS, under the original contract, 80% of the maximum fee is paid
for design (Phase II) and 20% is paid for construction (Phase III).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract dated May 5, 1987 between the City of Wichita Falls and the
1 engineering firm of Corlett, Probst and Boyd, as amended by Resolution 139-87, is hereby
amended in Exhibit 1 to show a maximum fee for Phase II to be $73,024 and for Phase III
to be $19,506. All other provisions of the May 5, 1987 contract remain uncha ged
