RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID AND APPROVE
CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 1 TO THE HILLCREST
RECON-STRUCTION COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROJECT; PROJECT 87-3
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for
bids for construction of the Hillcrest Reconstruction
Community Development Block Grant Project; Project 87-3,
which bids were to be made on a unit price basis; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder
is Ralph Garza Construction Company of Wichita Falls, Texas,
who bid unit prices with an estimated total of $113, 060.79;
and,
WHEREAS, acceptance of Change Order Number 1 would
bring the City into compliance with new Texas legislation
governing the excavation of trenches over 5 feet in depth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Said unit price bid of Ralph Garza Construction Company
with an estimated total of $113 , 060.79 is hereby accepted
and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract
with Ralph Garza Construction Company for the referenced
project and the City Manager is authorized to execute Change
Order Number 1 for the same project.
